`India-UK relations continue to march forward’
India`s High Commissioner to the UK, has said the bilateral relationship between the two countries stands strong and continues to "march forward".
London: India`s newly appointed High Commissioner to the UK, Jaimini Bhagwati has said the bilateral relationship between the two countries stands strong and continues to "march forward".
"The relationship between India and the UK is so strong, there is convergence of views and we have the luxury of focusing on economic development. Our relationship continues to march forward," Bhagwati said at an informal meeting with reporters last night.
Bhagwati, a 1976-batch IFS officer, is a Masters Degree holder in physics and a Doctorate in finance.
A veteran diplomat, Bhagwati has also served as the Indian Ambassador to EU, Belgium and Luxembourg apart from serving in the Ministry of External Affairs, Ministry of Finance and the World Bank.
