Indian fishermen attacked by Sri Lankan Navy

Rameswaram: Seven fishermen were injured when they were allegedly attacked by Sri Lankan naval personnel while fishing between Dhanushkodi and Katchativu island on Tuesday.

We were fishing in Indian waters when they attacked us, the fishermen told reporters here.

The victims were rushed to Ramanathapuram Government Hospital immediately.

Those injured were identified as Keba, Dominique, Kumar, Sahayaraj, Chinnathambi, Asthus and Kumaran.
