India`s Ganesh scales Mt. Everest

Ganesh Jena from Orissa scaled he world`s highest peak, becoming the third Indian to climb Mt. Everest this season.

Kathmandu: Ganesh Jena from Orissa on Wednesday scaled the world`s highest peak, becoming the third Indian to
climb Mt. Everest this season.

Three Sherpa guides also reached the summit along with
Jena, according to Chhewang Sherpa, who was one of organisers
of the expedition.
The three sherpas who scaled the Everest were Ang Kami
Sherpa, Tashi Tshering Sherpa and Da Jangbu Sherpa.

Jena reached the summit under the team headed by Anshu
Jamsenpa, 32, who had reached the summit along with three
Sherpa guides on May 12.
Among two other Indian climbers included in the team,
Amit Kumar from Haryana is on his way to the summit while,
Jackie Jack from Rajasthan has abandoned the attempt due to
illness, according to the Arun Treks and Expedition.
