New Delhi: A report said on Tuesday that aircraft carrier INS Vikramaditya has, finally, completed all its trials in Russia.
As per a report by a news channel, Russia will hand over to India its second aircraft carrier by November.
Among the trials completed include take off and landing of MiG029K aircraft, and full power test of the carrier.
The Russian side had earlier assured India that they were working towards handing over the warship, which is delayed by almost five years, by the middle of November.
Admiral Gorshkov, now rechristened INS Vikramaditya, will now return to the Sevmash Shipyard in Severodvinsk.
The Gorshkov, if handed over to India as per schedule in November, is expected to reach India only in January next year, where it will be deployed at the strategic Karwar naval base in Karnataka.
