J`khand woman breaches PM, Sonia security New Delhi: A woman from a Jharkhand village on Tuesday went up close to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress President Sonia Gandhi at an NREGA award presentation function here apparently due to a misunderstanding, triggering some anxious moments.

Sleuths of Special Protection Group (SPG) and personnel from Delhi Police were caught unawares as Fatima Khatoon went to the dais when Singh and Gandhi were giving away awards to officials working in the field of NREGA at Vigyan Bhavan.

Khatoon, in her 30s, went to the dais as she thought her name had been called as an awardee. She stood beside Gandhi for a while as everyone looked puzzled.

The Congress President put her arms on the woman's shoulders and was seen saying something to her.

Soon after, she was escorted out of the hall by security personnel.

Later, Khatoon said she went up to the dais because of confusion. "I thought my name had been called for award presentation and that is why I went there," she said.
