New Delhi: National Integration Council
meeting should be held for a two-day duration annually so that
the states can discuss important issues in detail, JD(U)
leader Sharad Yadav said on Saturday.
"The NIC meeting is being convened after three years. It
should be called every year and not for just one day but for
two days so that we get a chance to discuss it in details,"
Yadav said after the NIC meeting here.
The JD(U) leader said nothing should be done to disturb
the federal structure of the country.
"We have federal Constitution. Law and order
responsibility is with the state government in the federal
structure and it should remain there."
