JEE (Main) All India Ranking 2014 announced; Bangalore boy tops

The Central Board of Secondary Education declared all India ranking for candidates, who appeared for JEE (Mains) 2014.

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Tuesday declared all India ranking for candidates, who appeared for JEE (Mains) 2014.
Students can check their results on http://jeemain.nic.in/jeemainapp/Welcome.aspx.

Srinidhi Prabhu of the Narayana PU College, Bangalore, has topped the JEE (Main) examination.

Rajasthan`s Chitraang Murdia, the All-India JEE (Advanced) topper, stood 38th in the JEE (Main) rank list.

As per the data from the CBSE, the minimum cut-offs for filling choices of institutes and courses for BE and BTech courses is 62 for students in the general category, 59 for candidates in the other backward category (non-creamy layer) and 32 for scheduled castes, scheduled tribes and physically challenged candidates.
Students can begin filling their choices online from Tuesday up to July 12.

The rankings were based on a combination of JEE (main) scores (worth 60% weightage) and Class 12 results (for 40% weightage).
