Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda
retained Ministry of Home, Energy and Road Construction as he
distributed portfolios among his Cabinet ministers on Sunday, two
days after expanding his ministry and a month after taking the
oath.
He is also holding charge of the departments of
Personnel, Administrative Reforms and Raj Bhasa, Law and
Justice, Information and Public Relations, Planning and
Development, Department of Registration and such departments
which have not been allocated to any other minister, according
to an official release here today.
Deputy Chief Minister Sudesh Mahto has been allotted the
departments of Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Water
Resources Development, Forest and Environment, Art, Culture,
Sports and Youth Affairs.
Another Deputy Chief Minister Hemant Soren has been
allotted the Ministry of Finance, Commercial Taxes, Urban
Development, Housing, Drinking water and Sanitation, Civil
Aviation and Mines.
The following are the portfolios allotted to nine other
ministers: Baijnath Ram - Human Resource Development;
Hemlal Murmu - Parliamentary Affairs, Health and Family
Welfare; C P Choudhary - Building Construction, Labour,
Employment and Training, Science and Technology; Haji Hussein
Ansari - Cooperative, Minority Welfare; Mathura Prasad Mahto -
Revenue and Land Reforms, Food Processing, Public
Distribution and Consumer Affairs; Champai Soren - Tribal
Welfare and Transport department; Gopal Krishna Patar -
Excise, Prohibition; Vimala Pradhan - Tourism, Social Welfare,
Woman and Child development; Satyanand Jha - Agriculture,
Animal Husbandry and Fisheries.
