New Delhi: One of the followers of jailed
DMK MP Kanimozhi had a tough time in a Delhi court on Tuesday which
first ordered his detention and then let him off with a stern
warning for clicking the photograph of his leader inside the
courtroom.
"I tender unconditional apology to this court," a visibly
shaken follower of the DMK leader told the court with folded
hands when he was brought again before it.
Almost half-an-hour before, Suhail Hindustani was
detained for taking photographs of 43-year-old Kanimozhi along
with her minor son Adithya sitting in her lap during the
court proceedings.
Hindustani was caught off guard when Special CBI Judge
O P Saini asked policemen, present in the courtroom, to take
him in custody.
Hindustani, who was kept in the courtroom of a
magistrate during his detention, was later rebuked by the
judge when he tried to justify his misdemeanour.
"Be silent. Get out from here," Saini said tersely.
The day's proceeding in the case started with the
high-profile visit of DMK leader M K Stalin who came to meet
his sister and stayed inside the courtroom for around one and
half hours.
Besides Stalin, DMK Parliamentary Party leader T R Baalu
and Durai Murugan, former PWD minister of Tamil Nadu,
Kanimozhi's mother Rajathi Ammal, her husband Aravindan and
some DMK leaders were also present in the court.
