Karkare's widow slams Digvijay's comment

Mumbai: Kavita Karkare, widow of slain Maharashtra Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) chief Hemant Karkare, Saturday slammed Congress leader Digvijay Singh for claiming that Karkare called him hours before he was killed in the 26/11 Mumbai terrorist attack to say that right-wing groups threatened his life.

"Pakistani terrorists killed my husband, Digvijay Singh is wrong," said Kavita.

"No Hindu outfit is connected with my husband's killing. Do not link his death with threats from Hindu organisations. The statement can mislead people," she added.

Earlier Saturday, Singh said that Hemant Karkare had spoken to him hours before he was killed in the terrorist attack on Mumbai in 2008.

The Congress general secretary claimed that Karkare was under threat from those opposing the Malegaon blast probe, which he was heading as the ATS chief.

"I had spoken to Hemant Karkare only two hours before he was killed. He had told me how his family and his own life were constantly threatened from people who were annoyed by his investigations in the Malegaon blasts," Singh said.

Digvijay has always been trying to appease minority by making non-sense remarks every now and then. Congress and UPA has already dug grave and he is digging it even deeper. There is history that Gandhi & Gandhian has always tried to appease minority by something or the other and fool them...Wake my brothers, lets live in peace and harmony instead of listening to leaders like this....

This bull as Digvijay Singh has been let loose by the congress to vitiate the harmonious atmosphere of the country by his divisive remarks every now and then.See, Karkare had spoken to him and to his wife.He is a liar and a destructive element with filthy and non-secular remarks.This element must be checked by congress or it is presumed that congress is a party as a divisive force in the country.
