Karmapa prays for world peace

The 17th Karmapa, Ugen Trinley Dorje, on Thursday offered prayer and appealed for peace and prosperity in the world.

Dorje, on Thursday offered prayer and appealed for peace and
prosperity in the world.
Addressing about 10,000-strong Buddhist followers from
across the world on the second day of a Buddhist religious
function at Terega monastery in Bodh Gaya, he appealed
for peace and prosperity in the world.

The 17th Karmapa explained the virtues of Tibetan
Buddhism to his followers.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister of Tibetan government in
exile Samdhong Rinpoche said that the Tibetan Buddhism
has made its mark in the world due to sustained efforts of the
17th Karmapa and the Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama.

Rinpoche was here to attend the religious
ceremony.
