Mumbai: Family members of the slain policemen, who laid down their lives fighting terrorists on the November 26 last, said the gunman Mohammed Ajmal Amir Kasab should be hanged without any delay.
"It (Kasab`s case) should be treated as a special case
and on a priority basis Kasab should be hanged as he killed
hundreds of people including policemen. When we have all the
evidence, then why to delay the conviction?" asked Smita
Salaskar, widow of Vijay Salaskar, who was gunned down near
Cama hospital during the terror attacks.
Vinita Kamte, the widow of Additional Commissioner of
Police Ashok Kamte, who was also killed near Cama hospital,
said, "Kasab should be convicted at the earliest and India
should set an example as to how serious it is when it comes to
deal with terrorism."
"We should not give him Afzal Guru`s treatment. Despite
court`s verdict, Afzal Guru, who had attacked the Parliament,
has not been hanged yet which is very unfortunate," Kamte
Kasab and his associate Abu Ismail killed several
policemen including Hemant Karkare, Vijay Salaskar, Ashok
Kamte and Tukaram Ombale.
