Reacting to the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal`s statement on Republic Day calling it a "procession of floats," Congress leader Jagdambika Pal on Tuesday said that if the CM had no respect for Republic Day; people might lose their faith within the democracy of the nation.

"If the CM of any state shows no respect for Republic Day, people might lose their faith within the democracy of the nation," said Pal. "The Republic Day not only represents the dignity, and sovereignty of the nation, but also is also indicative of the Indian freedom struggle and history of the nation," he said. "Arvind ji should also not interfere with the constitution of the nation, and the security of the parade," he added.
