New Delhi: Former IPS officer Kiran Bedi
today refused to give a personal bond and get herself released
after she was taken into preventive detention for defying
prohibitory orders.
"I have been asked to offer bail but I have refused. I
may be sent into judicial custody in Tihar jail," Bedi said.
Bedi was taken into custody at Rajghat when she arrived
there to take part in the protest announced by Anna Hazare.
The Anna Hazare team said the Gandhian and others --
Arvind Kejriwal, Shanti Bhushan and Manish Sisodia -- who were
detained will also not give any personal bond and secure their
release.
Hazare has been moved out of the police mess in north
Delhi`s Civil Lines where he was kept by police after
detaining him from east Delhi`s Mayur Vihar.
