Lahore-bound bus passenger suffers asthma attack

The Delhi-Lahore bus halted for one hour at Ambala City after one of the bus passengers, suffered asthma attack during the journey.

Ambala: An elderly couple onboard a Pakistan Tourism bus had to cancel their Lahore trip on Saturday after the husband suffered a severe asthma attack during the journey, officials said.
The Delhi-Lahore bus halted for one hour at Ambala City after one of the bus passengers, Kanwar Shakil, hailing from Kolkata, suffered asthma attack during the journey.
Shakil was going to Lahore along with his wife Rubeen Begam.

The bus had departed from Delhi this morning with around 40 passengers. It halted as per schedule in Parkeet Tourist Complex at Pipli for a few minutes, they said.

Shakil suffered asthma attack there and his condition worsened when the bus was nearing Ambala Cantonment.

His wife informed the matter to the conductor of the bus, who informed the police pilot gypsy escorting the vehicle. After receiving permission from senior officers, the bus was taken to the civil hospital at Ambala City.

Shakil was taken to the hospital where doctors referred him to the PGI hospital, Chandigarh. The couple was taken to the PGI hospital in an ambulance.

The bus then departed to its destination after one hour.
