Law firm sets up office for Indians in Mid-East
A leading Indian Law firm has set up an office in the Middle East with a promise to work out a model for providing legal aid to blue collared expatriates.
New Delhi: A leading Indian Law firm has set
up an office in the Middle East with a promise to work out a
model for providing legal aid to blue collared expatriates
besides guiding the country`s businessmen in their
entrepreneurship and investments there.
The New Delhi-based Kochhar & Co. has entered into a
Joint Venture with MIO Lawyers & Legal Consultants of the
United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Law Firm of Dr Khalid Al
Nowaiser of Saudi Arabi.
"We are the only leading and the largest corporate law
firm that is going to have its presence in the Middle East to
cater to the growing business needs of Indians in that part of
the world which has a large population of expatriates," Rohit
Kochar, Chairman of Kochar & Co said.
However, the law firm said that since many Indian
labourers, earning low wages, have landed themselves in
legal hassles in recent times, it will evolve a legal aid
mechanism to provide them service on discounts.
"We will be working on the legal aid model to help them
in any legal issue. They will be provided service on
discount," Manishi Pathak, a senior partner of the firm, said.
They said the joint venture will be a fulsome law
Kochhar Al-Nowaiser will have its office in Jeddah and
Riyad in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In the UAE, Kochar and
MIO Lawyers & Legal Consultants will have its office in Dubai
and Abu Dhabi.
