New Delhi: Four Left parties, which brought
cut motions against the budget in Parliament and organised a
nationwide strike against government`s failure to check rising
prices, on Saturday decided to continue their agitation on the
issue.
The decision was taken at a meeting of top leaders of
CPI(M), CPI, RSP and Forward Bloc, which also reviewed the
ongoing movement against price rise, food security and related
issues.

The meeting, attended among others by Prakash Karat
(CPI-M), A B Bardhan (CPI), Debabrata Biswas (FB) and Abani
Roy (RSP), decided to hold a national convention on these
issues in early July "from where the future course of action
will be announced", a statement issued after the meeting said.
The parties also condemned the filling of five CPI(M)
workers, all of them agricultural labourers, in West Bengal by
the Maoists.

They called upon "all democratic forces" to condemn such
violence, it said.
