New Delhi: The Pakistani contingent got a grand welcome as it marched into the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium for the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games here Sunday.

Dressed in green blazers, the all-male Pakistani contingent was loudly cheered by the crowd at the spectacular ceremony.

Star tennis player Aisam ul-Haq Qureshi, who along with Indian Rohan Bopanna made it to the final of the US Open tennis men`s doubles this year, was part of the contingent.
