LS member raises issue of stranded Indians in Iraq

A member of ruling BJP on Wednesday urged the government in the Lok Sabha to evacuate at the earliest construction workers stranded in strife-torn Iraq and sympathetically deal with the debt situation of those who have already come back.

New Delhi: A member of ruling BJP on Wednesday urged the government in the Lok Sabha to evacuate at the earliest construction workers stranded in strife-torn Iraq and sympathetically deal with the debt situation of those who have already come back.

Raising the issue, Rajiv Pratap Rudy also said that Indians should be saved from the instability and war like situation in the Middle East nation.
A group of 46 Indian nurses trapped in fighting engulfing parts of Iraq have been brought back, among others.

Iraq is witnessing serious strife with Sunni militants, backed by al Qaida, capturing some cities.

Indian government is in the process of bringing back its nationals from Iraq.
Ninong Ering of Congress raised the issue of stapled visas being issued by China to the residents of Arunachal Pradesh and wanted the government to resolve the matter at the earliest.
