Madurai: Nearly 100 MDMK members today
staged a demonstration here demanding the release of their
General Secretary Vaiko, Tamil Nationalist Movement leader
P.Nedumaran and film director Seeman.
The protesters were led by District secretary Boominathan.
Vaiko and Nedumaran were arrested on July 14 when they
tried to take out a procession towards the Sri Lankan Deputy
High Commission in Chennai, demanding its closure while
Seeman, founder of Naam Tamizhar Iyyakkam, was taken into
custody on July 12 on the charge of speaking in support of
LTTE.
