More than 3,000 cases registered by CBI during 2007-09

New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered a total of 3,050 cases in the last three years, parliament was informed Thursday.

In a written reply in the Rajya Sabha, Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office Prithviraj Chavan said 940 cases were registered in 2007, 991 in 2008 and 1,119 in 2009.

Out of these, the anti-corruption division registered a total of 2,308 cases during these three years, while the special crimes division registered 341 and the economic offences division registered 391, Chavan said.

The agency has also managed to dispose off 2,035 cases in the last three years, out of which 1,243 cases resulted in conviction.

As on June 30 this year, the agency was investigating a total of 1,069 cases.

is there any way cbi can put the data on line what percentage of case they solve successfully in how much average time they took to solve.which is oldest unsolved active case .
