Kolkata: Rich tributes were paid to Mother
Teresa on her 102nd birthday here on Friday led by the chief
minister, with a special prayer held in Mother House, the
global headquarters of Missionaries of Charity (MoC).
It was in Kolkata that she spent most part of her life,
working relentlessly for the poor, downtrodden and the
neglected people, till her last breath. Nuns of the MoC held a
special morning prayer for the Mother here.

West Bengal Trinamool Congress Minority Cell organised a
programme at the base of Mother Teresa's statue at the
crossing of Park street and Camac street where cell president
Idris Ali, state TC President and PWD minister Subrata Bakshi
and city Mayor Sovan Chatterjee paid respects.
