Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Information
Commissioner (CIC) has sought details of inquiries regarding
irregularities in implementation of a rural guarantee act from
the State General Administration Department (GAD) within a
CIC P P Tiwari issued the direction to the GAD Principal
Secretary yesterday after rejecting its plea seeking more time
to furnish details about irregularities in Mahatma Gandhi
National Rural Guarantee Act (MGNERGA).
The GAD had sought more time stating that it was taking
legal advise to move the Madhya Pradesh High Court against the
CIC`s order of April 8.
"Enough time had been given to the GAD to furnish details
in connection with MGNERGA," the CIC said while turning down
the GAD`s plea.
The CIC also observed that there was no provision of
making an appeal against its order under Right To Information
(RTI) Act 2005.
On April 8, the CIC had sought details regarding the
irregularities committed in the implementation of MGNERGA
within seven days from GAD.
