Kohima: NSCN(I-M) today condemned the Manipur government's decision to debar the entry of its general secretary Thuigaleng Muivah into the state and said he would certainly complete his journey.

"We have undertaken this journey of peace...respecting the wishes of the Naga people, but it is unfortunate that the Manipur government has opposed the visit of Muivah... and we condemn...the irrationality of the state government," NSCN (I-M) said in a press statement.

Muivah, camping at Viswema village near Nagaland-Manipur border since May 5, would definitely visit his native village Somdal in Ukhrul district and other Naga-inhabited areas in Manipur, it said.

The outfit said the Centre had communicated its concern and requested to defer the visit of Muivah till situation stabilises in Manipur.

Meanwhile, the Manipur government today relaxed the curfew at Mao area during day hours, officials said.

The curfew was clamped on the area two persons died and several others were injured when police resorted to tear gas shelling and firing on protest demonstrators at the area on May 6 following tension over Muivah's proposed entry.

The Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) has appealed to all concerned to exercise utmost restraint and calm under such a volatile situation on both sides of the border and urged not to do any such actions or use words which might further aggravate the situation.

expressing from human context i think you call a person criminal when he hurts the civilians
well to be a little more politically correct can we term it as a saboteur !!
ok fine ^^ let the govt handle it , we will stay quite but till when ??
or should we wait and watch which freedom fighter they favour ?? when there is so much havoc already in our state with the outrageous acts of blockades and curfews and strikes
how long could mahatma gandhi tolerate this ??
we are the future we need to understand what is best and express we have freedom of speech !! fight for a better tomorrow for everyone
live and let live .. before the day comes where either one lives !!!
peace out ^^

dear reader`s,
please rise & shine! stop commenting on it. i doubt you guys are not spreading the wrong & ill information? little knowledge is dangerous, therefore clear your concept first. this is a political problem of the govt. let them solve it. just concentrate on your own works. better quite than showing your ignorant.
if anyone wants to comments at `on going peace process`, one must know the nature & understand the nagas history & their boundaries. yes, geographically nagas may have divided into so called states. but internally nagas are one brothers/sisters of same blood & politically nagas have a birth right for freedom.
in indian context, bhagat singh/netaji were not criminal, they were freedom fighters. therefore don`t use the unappropraite words which will hurts the millions of people.

its almost unbelievable that we , the educated base are failing to realize what is best worth for the betterment of our state time and again ,
its time we unite and stop !! this civil war ^^
muivah will not see it happening in his remaining lifespan but sure he is determined to create a civil war ~~ rather than channelising so much effort in dividing we must work together utilising every bit of our secularism and sovereignty to keep our integrity intact !!
live and let live my naga brothers we have nothing against you ^^ let us just have a little peace in there .. we have gone through al0t together .. its on us n0w .. we are the future .. we need to work on it now !! now !!

what the govt of manipur doing is right... muivah is a state terrorist...his peace talks and cease fire are in nagaland only, not in manipur... he is a criminal to manipur state.. so the govt has every right to stop him entering on legal grounds..

and stop dreaming of greater nagaland..its over once muivah is dead..

if nagas want to unite, go to nagaland....tats where you belong.......or else live peacefully all together......

dear fellow,
as u have said we are all educated people and we need to know our history, im sorry i don’t know much about our history and i don’t deny to whatever said here but what i do know is, i was educated by a school teacher who taught me how to write abcd…she visit my home for tution and my mother greet her totally inside my home, she is my best teacher and she is a naga and today also we are still in contact and now mostly with his sons……
if u really know the history then u must be knowing that lots of meities kings with associates were kill at hills, but i consider that as a history, coz we know those days are gone and we are know at new era….if we keep counting on history then i assure u many will surely die with no reason and in future, today will be count as an history and our ancestors will also fight for their history.
don’t ever think tha t manipur is a land for meiteis only, just like india is not a land for hindus only…..but they still fight for kashmir….why??????
we are educate people we should know why……………………….

naga means naked...all manipur nagas should know this. who nagas were? how was ur life styles? all manipur nagas should understand the helping hands of others. dont ever forget while u all were naked and eating champhut(its a curry that naga people eat for lunch and dinner)u were so innocent those days but when u came to know how to wear dress, u all behave like a hero. but it cant work. if u wanna continue to live with the nice dress u have to live like a normal person otherwise we will make u naked again...

it is very sad that we only are commenting each other. we are just a common people. sometimes lets forget about us and let us consider about this center government which take decisions intentionally to create enmity within the different communities in the north eastern states. our race is same and we are sometime victims of looks in this indian mainland.

dear all,

all of us are educated and can search the history. meitei brothers use to call us hao macha. thirty to forty years ago hilly people were not allowed to even enter their house. they consider themselves as holy people. then hills and mountains were nothing to them. they neither care for the people living at mountains nor the land. now they all realized the importance of space for their ever growing population. we all know how did britishers divide the land. they always use divide and rule policy. unfortunately the lands occupied by the naga people were enclosed inside the boundary of manipur else naga people were living in these mountains for ages. meitei brothers should not be envy for the land of naga people. they are not asking your land. they are claiming their own land.

i further request the govt. of india to be honest in this matter. forming a new state is not a big deal for india govt. its just a matter of their course of action. if they want they can do it very easily. i request the govt. of india not to play the game of divide and rule policy like the britishers else many will die with no reason.
