Mysterious letter claims Bhanwari Devi is alive

A mysterious letter claiming that Bhanwari Devi is alive and being held hostage by a top politician in Haryana has surfaced.

Bhawari Devi, a mysterious letter claiming that she is alive and is being held hostage by a top politician in Haryana, has surfaced.

Reports, Friday, claimed that the sender of the postcard letter has alleged a big political conspiracy behind the kidnapping of the Jodhpur nurse.

The anonymous sender has also revealed full details to Jodhpur police as to how Bhanwari Devi was kidnapped and how she was shifted to various places. The sender has claimed that Bhanwari was first taken to Nagore instead of Seaker, as suspected by the investigators. From Nagore, she was taken to the residence of a powerful minister in Haryana, whose name has been revealed in the postcard letter.
However, Jodhpur police is tight-lipped over the authenticity of the information revealed in the letter and have now decided to hand it over to the CBI.

The CBI has registered an FIR in Delhi in connection with the kidnapping after the DoPT issued a notification on October 3.

Rajasthan’s powerful Water Resources Minister Mahipal Maderna is one of the accused in the case.
Maderna has been accused of kidnapping and murdering Bhanwari Devi. He, however, refrained from making any statement with regard to the issue.

The other two accused in the case Shahbuddin, the alleged key executer, and former deputy district head Sahiram Vaishnavi, are reported to be absconding.

Bhanwari Devi reportedly featured on a CD showing her in a compromising position with stateas PHED minister Mahipal Maderna.
Bhanwari Devi`s husband on filed a complaint of kidnapping and suspected murder in Bilada`s trial court on September 21.

The case has taken the Congress government in Rajasthan to a political storm and intense criticism.
