Jayaprakash Narayan on Saturday said that if the youths, who wish to
enter politics, had character, integrity, vision and
leadership qualities, people would not hesitate to support
Addressing party`s youth wing`s State Working Committee
he also said that it was wrong to assume that society could be
transformed for the better with guns.
Dr Narayan said that one need not sacrifice one`s entire
life for serving the society. "It is enough to spare a little
time and a few resources even as one pursues one`s routine
life," he said.
"Politics is not a means for personal enrichment. It is a
noble endeavour to serve society. The youth should regard
the nation above the party, and the party above the
individual. Unfortunately, some politicians regard themselves
as more important than the party and the nation," he said in a
Lok Satta Youth wing State President P Sivaji Raju said
that the organisation planned to enroll 50,000 students as
members and offer training in leadership to 10,000 students.
