Narayanasamy briefs PM on situation in Kudankulam

The Centre and the state government had set up two different panels to address concerns over safety and environment impact of the KNPP protest.

New Delhi: Union Minister V Narayanasamy
on Wednesday briefed Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on the situation
at Kudankulam, which has been witnessing protests against
setting up of two nuclear power plants.

Narayanasamy, Minister of State in the PMO, had been sent
as the Centre`s emissary to Tamil Nadu to look into the
questions raised by the protestors.

The Centre and the state government had set up two
different panels to address concerns over safety and
environment impact of the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project
raised by the protestors.

The two panels have met twice and are yet to come out with
their reports.
