‘Naxals plan to overthrow Indian state` Zeenews Bureau

New Delhi: Home Secretary GK Pillai on Friday said that the ceasefire announcement by the Naxals was just a ploy to regroup and added that banned ultras are aiming to overthrow the Indian state.

“The banned ultras are trying to build an army as they plan to overthrow the Indian state by 2050,” Pillai said.

The Home Secretary observed that the ceasefire announced by the Naxals was just a ploy to regroup their cadre and feared that Naxal-related violence will go up in the days to come.

Pillai further revealed that Naxals are working in remote areas and strengthening their movement by taking advantages of the “administrative vacuum”

Citing some important documents seized during anti-Naxal operations, the home secretary said, “The banned guerrillas were operating in remote areas - the soft underbelly of the economy - and trying to influence more and more people to join their movement.”

He also did not rule out the possibility of Naxals getting local support, adding that there was credible evidence of local support to the Naxals. He even hinted that there are fears that ex-servicemen were helping the home-grown rebels.

However, he assured that the central forces will soon take control of the Naxal-infested areas.

“We will take back the areas we have lost to the Naxal groups in the days to come, “Pillai said.

Although Pillai hailed the progress made by the security forces so far in tackling the Naxal problem, he admitted that not even 5% of the armed cadres have been hit by the security forces. The Naxals are keeping their armed cadres in reserve for big offensives.”

The crucial statement from the Home secretary comes in the wake of a conditional 72-day ceasefire offer from the Naxals, who had expressed their willingness for talks only if the government halts security operations and releases their arrested leaders.

However, the Union Home Minister P Chidambaram has turned down the conditional ceasefire offer and instead demanded the Naxals to send the truce offer in writing.

Chidambaram later offered to talk with the rebels if they stopped violence for 72 hours.

Responding to it, CPI-M politburo member Koteshwar Rao alias Kishenji then gave his telephone number to the Home Minister and asked him to respond to his offer on or before 5 pm by March 06.

The 72-hour deadline set by the Maoists will end tomorrow.

When the Government is saying this what is the future of children? Should they trae right path or should they join naxals. Even otherwise there is no need to wait till 2050. 8 states are under naxal influence, seven states are under extremists threats and rest of the country to terrorists, political mafia, political goondas . This way it would soon be taken over by Naxals earlier than predicted. Why the Government has to wait to mount an offensive against naxals. Can`t they free the country from naxalism. Should they take permission from Arundati Roy?

No way . No way. IT can never happen.
Indian army will smash them to pieces and bits till extinction. We are a very powerful country and no internal forces can dare
touch us. We will fuck them out .
Naxals will never suceed and soon they will be wiped out to extinction. And this is
a full blooded curse on them which will never fail. Guaranteed.
Convey this message to them

Jaihind.

The UPA government is very symphatic to the criminal elements in society like Naxals and Jihadis. It`s only Hindu saints (Sadhvi Pragya, Shankaracharyas, Asharam etc) that they can take action against, and that too without any conclusive proof.

The naxals, as usual are trying to dupe the government asking for cease fire. They have employed this ploy to regroup. Only if they surrender their arms and explosives should the government agree to talk.

While the naxal menace has already assumed alarming proportions, the need of the hour demands that the crack regular army units/commandos trained in jungle and guerilla warfare with IAF/army aviation corps cover should be entrusted the task of dealing with the hostile naxals, ruthlessly, who are being aided and abetted by the anti-India forces active in our neighbourhood. The naxals are virtually indulging in acts of treason against India which can not be tolerated. Since the naxals are being trained by the elements hostile to India, our intelligence agencies should pin down the suspected ex-servicemen who may be helping the naxals in training them for war against India on lines of the army doctrine.

Naxalite`s problem is gift of political parties who never worked for the development of rural areas and still doing the samething when situation is slipping out of hand.Rahul should visit such places and visualize as to how people are totally at mercy of naxalites and no law is prevailing there.Only talking over TV will not give ground situation .

Take the Naxal voilence along with the recent statements as read on the Chinese sites about breaking up India. Are they getting support from there. One needs to check this out.Just a thought and a dangerous one if there is an element of truth.

The naxalites problem has arisen due to rampant corruption prevailing in country and virtually no development in rural areas. The situation has gone deteriorating day by day and now it has gone out of control. The govt is still not serious for rapid development of remote areas and politicians are in league with naxalites.Jharkhand has become epicentre and naxalites are operating all over India from here as Local police has become defunct and has no combant capability. In such situation Jharkhand has become safe heaven for them. The ground situation is very alarming and CMs of Bihar and Jharkhand is not cooperating with centre due to political reasons.
