New Delhi: Nepal Home Minister Bhim Rawal met his Indian counterpart P Chidambaram here on Monday.

They discussed issues pertaining to security, organised crimes and immigration. "Both of us agreed on the point that we have to control organised criminal elements to ensure that our people are not victimised by those elements," said Rawal.

During his visit, Rawal is also scheduled to meet the Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, External Affairs Minister SM Krishna, heads of the police and border security forces and security officials, among others.

This visit comes close on the heels of Krishna's visit to Nepal during which the two countries agreed to cooperate on ways to combat cross border crime and terrorism. India and Nepal share a 1400-kilometre-long open border, which has very few checkpoints.
