Ralegaon Siddhi: Charting out his next course of action to press for a stronger Lokpal Bill, Gandhian Anna Hazare on Sunday exhorted that he would embark on a nation-wide tour to all the poll-bound states in order to inform the voters about the stand taken by various parties on the issue of Lokpal Bill and thereby leaving it to their discretion as to whom they should vote.

Prominent member of Team Anna, Arvind Kejriwal made an announcement in this regard while addressing the media here at a brainstorming session of Team Anna`s core committee.

Kejriwal also said that core committee members of Team Anna would declare their assets on their website by October 15.

“During his yatra, Hazare will tell people about the stand taken by the political parties on the Jan Lokpal bill without supporting any particular party. Let the voters make their choices in the elections,” Kejriwal said.
"Don`t oppose the Jan Lokpal bill. Those who oppose it must not be allowed to be re-elected," Hazare thundered in an oblique reference to some lawmakers.

“I will tour constituencies where those MPs will seek re-election and urge people not to vote for them…I will campaign against MPs opposing the Jan Lokpal Bill in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections,” Hazare said.

Kejriwal said Team Anna will hold a referendum in the constituencies of important leaders of all political parties and the MPs on Standing Committee, raising the question - whether the people should vote for MPs opposed to the Jan Lokpal bill.

“The referendum would seek a Yes or No to the poser,” he added.

Hazare also urged people to `gherao` houses of MPs opposed to the Jan Lokpal Bill during the course of discussion in the Parliament.
Terming the government Lokpal draft as ‘fraudulent’, Hazare said, “Corruption would increase if a legislation is passed on the basis of the government`s draft".

In a two-day-long conclave presided by Hazare, Team Anna decided to write to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and solicit its views on an annual performance of all members of Parliament.

The conclave also resolved to take up the issue of electoral reforms with Chief Election Commissioner SY Qureishi starting with incorporation of Right to Reject and Right to Recall the candidates in forthcoming elections.
