agency official said on Friday.
The Nigerian anti-drug agency, National Agency for Food
and Drug Administration (NAFDAC) has also warned that
importers of fake medicines in Nigeria would get life sentence
if convicted by an Indian court.

NAFDAC will collaborate with its Indian counterparts to
combat fake drugs production and export, NAFDAC director Paul
Orhi who was on a recent trip to India told the media here.

Orhi said he held fruitful meetings with Indian
Pharmaceutical Council, India Drug Manufacturers Association,
Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and
Indian Pharmaceutical Alliances to address the issue of fake
drugs.

Ohri said also met officials from the ministries of
External Affairs, Health, Chemical and Fertilizers in New
Delhi.
