Hazaribagh (Jharkhand): The clothes of
journalist Nirupama Pathak, a victim of alleged honour
killing, were today seized from her home and sent for forensic
test, police said.

The clothes have been sent to forensic laboratory in
Ranchi, they said.

Earlier, the police had moved the court seeking
permission to collect the clothes for investigation.

Twenty-two-year-old Pathak, a journalist working with
a business daily in New Delhi, was found dead on April 29 in
her parents` house.

Her mother Sudha Pathak has said it was a case of
suicide, but post-mortem report revealed that she died of
asphyxia due to smothering. A 12-week-old foetus was also
found during autopsy.

Suspecting the death to be a case of honour killing, the
police had arrested Sudha.
