Nitish Kumar should resign following HC ruling: RJD

RJD demanded immediate resignations of Nitish Kumar, his deputy Sushil Kumar Modi and other ministers involved in the case.

Patna: With the Patna High Court ordering a
CBI probe into alleged illegal withdrawal of Rs 11,412.54
crore from the state treasuries, the RJD today demanded
immediate resignations of Nitish Kumar, his deputy Sushil
Kumar Modi and other ministers involved in the case.

According to a public interest petition filed by a lawyer
Arvind Kumar Sharma, the state government withdrew the
said amount for different welfare schemes without making
available the required bills to the Accountant General of the
state.

Deputy leader of the House and senior RJD leader, Shakeel
Ahmed Khan said Nitish Kumar, his deputy Sushil Kumar Modi and
other colleagues of Kumar should resign immediately on moral
grounds following the High Court`s order for a CBI probe into
the matter.

Khan and RJD national spokesman Ramkripal Yadav said the
forthcoming monsoon session of Bihar Assembly and Parliament
would be stalled by a determined opposition demanding jail
terms to Bihar CM and his associates for making `fraudulent
withdrwal` from the state treasury.
