New Delhi: The RSS on Monday said that no discussion had taken place in the meeting held between the top brass of the organisation and the BJP over the name of Narendra Modi as party`s PM candidate for 2014 polls.
Talking to reporters after the BJP-RSS meeting ended on Monday in the national capital, MM Vaidya said that there was no discussion over the party`s prime ministerial candidate.
"The meeting was not to take any decision on PM candidate," he said. Vaidya also added that the meeting was to discuss the state of economy and other important issues affecting the country.
It was being widely speculated that a decision regarding the announcement of BJP`s poll campaign committee chief would be taken in ain the two-day meeting held here.
RSS chief added that the meeting was only to discuss key issues of the country like the falling economy.
