Bokaro: At a time when the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is desperately trying to shed its pro-Hindutva image, party leader Giriraj Singh has stoked yet another controversy by saying why all terrorists belong to a particular community.

Though the Bihar BJP leader said that he doesn`t mean to say that everyone belonging to a particular community is a terrorist, he went on to say that why so called secular parties keep mum when all the person arrested in terrorism cases are from one community.

"This is a naked example of pseudo secularism and patronisation of a community for vote bank politics. This mindset is posing danger to the country," said the Nawada Lok Sabha candidate of the saffron party.

Expressing his views on Article 370, the BJP leader said that a referendum needs to be done on its validity. “Kashmiris can sell their goods and buy property all over the country, so if people want Article 370 to remain then it`s fine otherwise it should be scrapped.”

The Bihar BJP further said that Pakistan is trying its best to stop Modi to become the prime minister. “There are some people, who are living in India but are pro-Pakistan, pro-terrorism and want to stop Modi,” adding “they have no place in India and they should go to Pakistan,” Giriraj asserted.

Giriraj`s controversial statements come days after he was booked by the Election Commission for his controversial remarks that critics of Narendra Modi had no place in India and should go to Pakistan.

Reacting to the BJP leader`s statements, Congress leader Rashid Alvi termed Giriraj`s comments as unfortunate and reminded him of Sadhvi Pragya being lodged in jail for alleged terror activities.

RSS leader Virag Pachpor said that terrorism shouldn`t be liked with any community.

Former Samajwadi Party leader, Shahid Siddiqui slammed the BJP leader`s comments and said that the people like Giriraj are the biggest enemy of Narendra Modi.
Giriraj had contested on BJP ticket from the Nawada parliamentary seat on April 10.
The BJP leader on Monday also questioned the impartiality of the poll panel saying that different yardsticks were being adopted for model code violations.

Singh claimed that the poll panel booked Modi for displaying the party symbol after voting, while Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi was let off for allegedly trying to influence voters at a polling station in Amethi.
