New Delhi: The government on Thursday said there was no proposal to curtail the current session of Parliament as there was much business left.

The current Budget session, which began on July 7, is scheduled to run till August 14.

"There is no proposal as of now to close the session before hand. We have enough business," Parliamentary Affairs Minister M Venkaiah Naidu told reporters outside Parliament.

He said there was a misconception that the government did not have enough business.

"We have enough business. We have enough bills. We will be bringing them to the House, after discussing them with the presiding officers of both the houses. We have important bills coming up in the next week. We have already taken up Budget," he said.

Naidu also said that the Delhi budget would be taken up as well.

"We will have to take up Delhi budget also because Delhi is under President`s rule. That also has to be taken up by the House. So, we have enough work and then we also have fortunately enough time," he said.
