New Delhi: India on Saturday said it was not satisfied with the Pakistan government`s response to the recent abrupt expulsion of two Indian journalists from that country.
India`s Deputy High Commissioner in Islamabad Gopal Baglay raised the issue with his counterpart concerned in the Pakistan government, the Spokesperson in the External Affairs Ministry said here. "We are not satisfied with the response of Pakistan government on the expulsion of two Indian journalists," he said. The two journalists- Snehesh Alex Philip of PTI and Meena Menon of The Hindu newspaper- were asked to leave the country last week within seven days without being assigned any reason. Pakistan Foreign Ministry spokesperson had yesterday sought to distance itself from the expulsion saying that visas to journalists did not come under its purview. The spokesperson said the decision was taken by the Information Ministry.
