Noted advocate Ramakant Ovalekar passes away

Thane: Noted lawyer Ramakant D Ovalekar died
of old age related ailments here, family sources said Thursday.

He was 89.

Ovalekar, who was undergoing treatment at the Jupiter
Hospital here following health complications died last
evening, they said.

Ovalekar, who was popularly known as Anna, had appeared
in various prominent cases, including one relating to former
Maharashtra Chief Minister A R Antulay.

Bombay High Court Judge Pramod Kode, who had conducted
the Mumbai blast trials, started his career from the chamber
of Ovelkar as his junior.

He autobiography "That`s All My Lord" was very popular.
