One held for burglary at PM`s media adviser home

A burglar who struck at the house of Harish Khare, media adviser to Prime Minster Manmohan Singh, and sped away with his car, laptop and mobile phone, has finally been arrested, police said.

New Delhi: A burglar who struck at the house of Harish Khare, media adviser to Prime Minster Manmohan Singh, and sped away with his car, laptop and mobile phone, has finally been arrested, police said.

"The burglar was arrested from Maurice Nagar area in north Delhi," a Delhi Police officer said. His accomplice is still yet untraced and is on the run.

On Tuesday night, two unidentified men entered Khare`s house after scaling a rear wall in north Delhi`s Civil Lines area, and found keys of his Ford Fiesta car, a mobile phone and a laptop kept on a table, police said.
"They took these things and then drove away in the car," a police officer said.

Khare`s wife Renana informed the police Wednesday morning.

"Khare lives in a government flat with his wife and a son on Shyam Nath Marg and there was no guard in the locality," said the police officer.
