Jammu: A Pakistani national was arrested
on Monday for illegally entering into Indian territory in Jammu
and Kashmir, police said.
The man identified as Arshad Ahmed of Karol village,
Sialkote district in Pakistan was arrested this morning by
Border Security Force troops during patrolling along the
international border in Jammu district.
Police sources added that questioning is on in the case.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident a youth suspected of
being a police informer was killed by Hizbul Mujahideen
militants in Doda district.
Three militants barged into the house of Abdul Hamid and
indiscriminately fired on him last night, police sources said.
The militants fled while Hamid died on spot, as police
and security forces rushed to the scene after hearing gun
shots.
The troops have cordoned the area and launched search
operations to track down the militants, the police said.
