Pakistani troops violated ceasefire and opened brief small arms fire on Indian post along Line of Control (LoC) in Pallanwala sector in Jammu and Kashmir, Army officials said on Thursday.

Control (LoC) in Pallanwala sector in Jammu and Kashmir, Army
officials said on Thursday.
They fired 15 to 20 small arms rounds on the Indian post
along LoC in Pallanwala sector of Akhnoor belt around midnight
last night, they said.

Indian troops also opened fire in the brief exchange,
they said adding, there was no loss of life or injury to
anyone.
An Indian JCO was killed on September 1 in first major
violation of ceasefire in Keran sector of Kupwara belt of
Kashmir Valley this year, when troops from the two sides
traded heavy gunfire.
