I come with a message of love and peace: Rehman Malik Zeenews Bureau

New Delhi: Pakistan Interior Minister Rehman Malik arrived here Friday evening and said that he will issue arrest warrant against Hafiz Saeed from Indian soil if credible evidence is provided in relation with Lashkar-e-Toiba chief’s role in 26/11 attacks.

"We have no love lost for Hafiz Saeed. If I got the information today before I leave from here, I will order his arrest," Malik told reporters on his arrival here on a three-day visit during which the visa agreement signed by the two countries in September will be operationalised.

Malik said there has been lot of propaganda and there has been lot of pressure on Pakistan. "I have been receiving dossiers with only information," Malik said, adding Saeed had been arrested on three occasions.

On the issue of terrorism, Malik said non-state actors had been playing havoc with the relationship between the two countries, both facing the scourge for many years.

"I come with a message of love and peace from the people of Pakistan," he said.

“We have categorically stated that Pakistan and India have to respect court orders,” Malik Said.

“If people from both countries will meet peace will prevail. When they (Indians) enter Pakistan, they should feel they are coming to their own home," he said. "Similar should be the case when people of Pakistan enter India,” Malik said.

“Pakistan wants to take the peace process forward with India,” the Interior Minister said.

"Pakistan and India have to be friends," Malik said, adding that this would only be possible when there was better people-to-people interaction among the two countries.

He said because of the meetings between the leaders of India and Pakistan, the "journey to peace is progressing very well".

"I do not want any negativity today. What I want is a positive message, positive view forward and let's forget the dark days. Let's enter with shining stars, with smiling faces and clear hearts."

On Samjhuta investigations, Malik again said "let's not create any negativity..." and the talks on this issue is an ongoing process and it continues.

On Kasab's hanging, he said "we have categorically stated that we should respect each other's court verdicts."

About his visit, he said it was necessary for building close people-to-people contacts. "Any country, especially neighbouring countries, cannot encourage friendship between them as long as common people don't interact."

Speaking about jawan Saurabh Kalia who was allegedly tortured by Pakistani soldiers during the Kargil war, he said that while he didn't know whether a Pakistani bullet killed Kalia, it was regrettable and he didn't want such incidents to be repeated.

Malik arrived here on a long discussed three-day visit, the highlight of which is expected to be the implementation of a liberalised visa regime agreed to in September.

Malik was received at the technical area of Palam airport by Minister of State for Home RPN Singh.

Mallik is a biggest lier. He has no locus standi. MM Singh is a weak PM who is easily tricked as in Sharm el Sheikh. PM MMS should attend some history classes in India than Italy or Oxford.

Oh my God, Mr.Malik is So Sweet - So Sweet Talking - Doesn`t go down our throat. Shinde should read between the lines. What he is saying is he is helpless as far as Terrorists Leaders/Masters are concerned and the ceasefire violations/Covering fire will continue as they come under the most powerful Kayani and the civil government has No role therein. The actions always speak Louder than the words. The solution is to tell them bluntly that India now on has Zero tolerance for terrorist attacks.
