New Delhi: The alleged Pakistani spy arrested from the IGI airport was on Monday remanded further in police custody for four days by a Delhi court to allow investigators to probe into his conspiracy and trail the
transfer of money from Pakistan and UAE to his bank account.
Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Sunil Chaudhary granted the plea of Delhi police's Special Cell to take Jabbar alias Syed Amir Ali, the alleged Pakistani spy, into their custody till November 27.
The Special Cell, in its plea for remand of the accused, submitted that they were yet to probe the role of his two more associates and others to find out the transfer of money from Pakistan and Dubai from his bank account.
Delhi police, which produced Jabbar hailing from Karachi in Pakistan after the end of his 10-day custody interrogation, told the court that the Uttar Pradesh police's intelligence unit, which had verified the passport of the accused, had not cooperated with them.
Two others, Chand and Mohd Arshad, who allegedly helped the suspected spy to get a passport and a driving licence using forged documents, were sent to 14 days judicial custody by the court.
A team of Delhi police and UP's Anti Terrorist Squad had arrested the Chand and Arshand from Lucknow on November 17.
According to police, Jabbar, who stayed at Shahdara area here claiming himself to be hailing from Lucknow, was working as a technician in a mobile phone repair shop in Mansarovar Park in north-east Delhi.
He was apprehended on November 13 while trying to board a flight to Dammam in Saudi Arabia allegedly using a fake passport.
Police allegedly recovered some documents including maps of the defence establishments from his possession.
