New Delhi: LJP Chief Ramvilas Paswan on Sunday attacked BJP for its statement that it does not agree with Shiv Sena's stand on Shah Rukh Khan episode and accused the saffron party of double-speak.

"It is just like hunting with Shiv Sainiks and running with Bihari votes. It is yet another instance of BJP's double-speak," Paswan said.

The former Union Minister dared BJP to break its ties with Shiv Sena, saying "if BJP has any sincerity about larger national interest, the party should part ways with Shiv Sena."

Attacking the BJP ally JD (U), which is leading the NDA government in Bihar, Paswan said, "this also holds true for JD (U), which talks of nationalism and secularism but it is sitting with communal forces like BJP, the party which is in alliance with Shiv Sena in Maharashtra," he said.

On Thursday, BJP had criticised its long time ally Shiv Sena for its tirade against the matinee idol by calling him a traitor and tearing off posters of his forthcoming movie.

"We do not consider it proper to take recourse to violence as a form of protest," BJP spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad had said referring to the tearing down of posters of Khan's latest film "My Name is Khan" allegedly by Shiv Sainiks in Mumbai.
