New Delhi: In view of sudden demise of the Union Rural Development Minister Gopinath Munde, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday cancelled his meeting with the secretaries of all departments and has postponed it till further notice.
Modi was to get the briefing on the various sectors from the secretaries today. The top bureaucrats were told to be brief in their presentation.
Munde died this morning of a heart attack after a road accident in Delhi. Modi later went to BJP headquarters and paid tribute to him.
As per reports, Modi, who has promised to strengthen governance and streamline delivery of public services, was expected to give a glimpse of his policy priorities to the secretaries today.
The PM has already asked his ministers to prepare a 100-day agenda for their departments.
