PM to send chadar to Ajmer shrine

Ajmer: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will send a holy chadar to the Dargah of sufi saint Khawaja Moinuddin Chisti here on May 26 on the occasion of 800th urs.

Minister of State in the PMO V Narayanasamy, Union Ministers Salman Khurshid, C P Joshi and Sachin Pilot will present the chadar on the Prime Minister's behalf.

this is ``Aastha`` Khwaja Sahib better Known as Gharib Nawaz in the distinguishing mark of an enlightened soul and a great saint. In moments of crisis, in time of difficulty, those who have no child, to win over litigations, to have the favor of Khwaja Sahib, people flock to his Darbar. Even today, everyday 25 to 30 thousands of devotees belonging to different caste, creed and religion, different strata of society come to his shelter to get his blessings. Specially, during the `Urs-Mubarak` festival which begins from the 1st of Rajab to 6th of Rajab every year, there are 15 to 20 Lacks of devotees come to visit the Holy Shrine to kiss the thresh-hold. Through the grace of Khwaja Sahib, every one`s hearty & cherished desires being fulfilled

Does the PM honour other religions/holy persons as well? And is he presenting the chadar (why would a dead man need a chadar, give it instead to a needy person) on his own beha,f or on the behalf of the government of India? Can this then be called secular?
