The police on Friday raided the home of ex-Goa minister Mickey Pacheco and seized valuable documents and his computer.
Panaji: The police on Friday raided the home of ex-Goa minister Mickey Pacheco and seized valuable documents and his computer.
Pacheco has been missing from over a week and is wanted in a case accusing him of culpable homicide and destroying evidence in the death of his close friend Nadia Torrado.
Meanwhile, a Orissa based woman, who worked as
maid servant at 28-year-old Nadia Torrado`s residence here,
will be interrogated by Goa police to unearth further evidence
in the death case.
"We will be sending a team to Orissa to take the
statement of the maid who was working with the family
between January to April this year," police said.
Nadia`s family had three maids working at their place and
only one of them was present when she allegedly committed
suicide by consuming poison, police said, adding, this maid
servant could be a key witness in this case.
Another woman, who arrived to work as a domestic help at
her place a day after Nadia`s death, has already deposed
before the police stating that victim`s mother Sonia Torrado
had asked her to burn vital evidence related to the case,
The Crime Branch expects that the maid servant will put
more light on Pacheco`s relation with the family.
