in non emergency precident`s major role is appoint all high ranking peoples..especially in a judicial branch of GOI.and second most important work is he/she is a utive head of indian defence system.if we have a good defence minister than we should not need highly experienced precident but we need a person who is clean in their political career.and when question come over the appointment of high official person the best man for this is the one who posses best secular quality.....they should represent people of india not their political party...as per my knowledge we already have veteran defence minister mr.A.K.ANTONY as well his political career is also very clean till now. so there should be no worry about governanace in defence system..and by this thought i think MR. p a sangma is better than mr.mukhrjee..as p a sangma has more clean history of political career

Pranab Mukherjee was a Finance minister when corruption was taking place. Besides, he is with Congress and we all know how corrupt congress is. Pranab deserves only Tihar Jail. Sangma is at least a cleaner slate than Pranab.

``We don`t have homes here. They have dumped us in a wasteland in Vatva. It stinks. There is no electricity, no water, no school, and no health facility. There are murders every week and no policeman comes. We have to come back here everyday in search of work. We spend Rs100 a day on transport, and three hours on commuting. Bus-stand is solitary and when we get home at night, we are terrified of getting robbed or killed.

Delivering the judgment yesterday, the court slammed the Modi government, terming the 2002 communal conflagration as “negligence of the state” and censured it for “inaction”, holding that it had resulted in an “anarchic” situation. “Even if we, for the sake of argument, accept the defense of the state that the cause of riot was a general reaction to the Sabarmati Express incident, the failure on part of police to gather intelligence about such general reaction (after the Godhra train burning incident) in time and to take appropriate timely action definitely come within expression `negligence of the state`,” the court said.

While at one side Narendra Modi did not appoint LOKAYUKTA in Gujarat for 7 years, the other side they opposed the governor who used her special powers in appointing the LOKAYUKTA for the sack of 6 crore gujaraties. Bjp could not digest this legal moves by governor and run a campaign across the state against the governor. Even the national leaders of bjp stalled the house for 3 days. The most shameful and anti democracy move came by bjp when senior leader ARUN Jetaly said `the high court of Gujarat is doubtful`after Gujarat high court supported governors decision to appoint the LOKAYUKTA.
