Pranab Mukherjee on Saturday refused to comment on the reports about the "unusual" movement of troops towards the capital in January.

"On spook (issue), I would not like to make any comment,"
he said at the UTV Bloomberg Awards Function here.

The Finanace Minister was asked to comment on the alleged
spooking of the Raisina Hills by Army troops.

An Indian Express report on Wednesday on the troop
movement on the night of January 16-17, the day the Army Chief
had approached the Supreme Court on the age issue, had created
a furore.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Defence Minister A K Antony had rubbished the report as "alarmist" and "baseless".
