New Delhi: Senior Congress leaders, including Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Friday to discuss the presidential elections, officials said.
Besides Mukherjee, considered front-runner for the post, his cabinet colleagues Salman Khurshid, P Chidambaram and Kapil Sibal reached the prime minister`s 7, Race Course Road residence around noon.
The meeting comes ahead of the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) meeting scheduled at 4 pm to finalise the presidential candidate.
